Ten years ago this month, I launched RiskReversal.com with my good friend and former options trader C.C. Lagator with a fairly simple goal in mind, to impart what we had learned over the years in the exchange pits and trading floors to self-directed retail investors and financial advisors. This is what we wrote on the About page when we launched, which remains there today:

The goal of RiskReversal.com is to help equity traders and investors understand the alternative ways they can express their views in the markets. Our main focus is to detail the uses of equity options to better define risk, enhance yield, and make use of leverage in a cost-effective manner.

RiskReversal is NOT A TRADE SERVICE. We do not offer investment or trading advice.

We hope to provide an alternative to the stock-picking and investment advice that dominates financial and social media… Our intention is to educate our readers in a way that they can then take those lessons and apply them to their own portfolios and trading accounts in ways they see fit to reverse their risk.

Despite a ton of volatility along the way and no shortage of crisis, we feel that we delivered on our mission, to offer alternatives to the consensus and most prevalent forms of financial punditry.

A few years ago, CC went on to start an options trading platform called Options AI with another very good friend of ours. CC has remained an advisor to RiskReversal.com.

Over the past decade, I have gotten to know hundreds of readers through our email correspondence and engaged with thousands of you through Twitter. It has been my sincere honor that so many of you have sought my insights into your trading and/or investing.

But now after thousands of posts, I am shifting my professional gears. In the next few weeks, I will provide more detail about what RiskReversal.com 2.0 is to become. For the last year and a half, I have had an increasing focus on sponsored direct-to-consumer content, starting with Fidelity on our weekly In The Money video collaboration, last year with The Macro Setup with Guy Adami sponsored by Nadex and IG, this year’s launch of the On The Tape podcast with Guy Adami and Danny Moses and our related Live Twitter Spaces (which we are calling our daily hits; Trading Spaces) for which we will soon announce sponsors. These sponsorships are not meant to merely jam ads in your eyes and ears, but they are carefully curated brands that wish to associate with the new RiskReversal brand and thought leadership. We intend to create exciting and educational 360-degree marketing relationships to benefit the three key stakeholders of this engagement: RiskReversal, the sponsors, and the viewer/listener/reader/follower.

So what does this mean for you the premium and free subscriber to the existing RiskReversal.com? First, for premium members, we have taken down the paywall, all RR content is free for everyone to read, watch and listen to. For those who have subscribed to our Free Access, we will continue to push out emails alerting you to our latest drops which will also include any further detail on trade ideas, charts, and show notes.

This is not to say that we will not have premium subscriber products in the future, but we will be engaged in reconstructing our website to better showcase our new content. In the meantime, we did not want to have paid subscribers feel as though they are not getting their money’s worth.
